A private portfolio manager for 20 years in Asia, having lived 10 years in Hong Kong partly as a Director of the Swire Group (Cathay Pacific),and 10 years in The Philippines with its much more laid-back lifestyle. From Makati City in Manila he trips out to clients around South East Asia.
Bruce says: “Asia is the future of dynamic economic growth. At many levels Asia is starting to de-couple from dependence on Europe and USA. The whirlwind of change is a difficult scenario, but best suits the new world order which is busy rising in the powerhouses of Asia.”
Bruce was a columnist for Business World for 3 years, has written articles and interview profiles for The Philippine Tatler, Mabuhay magazine, Action Asia and others, and has even been quoted in TIME magazine on stock market activities in New York (but is not sure if that is a good thing!).
* Has traveled 35,000 miles by Sailboat in 5 continents. (His sea journeys)
* Has travelled through 16 countries by motorbike –through Europe, Asia and Africa -including, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan (His land journeys)
* Has traveled in 44 countries- and loves the Philippines the best!
Has written 3 books about the beauty of the tropical islands of the Philippines (His Head journeys).
* Has 6 more books in the pipeline – one on Burma, one on China, 4 more on the Philippines and even has a plan for a 1st novel to be written in the far north in the remoteness of the Batanes Islands!
