The thick defensive walls and the secret passages have been faithfully restored to welcome guests into a fairy tale atmosphere.

The décor of the castle is a modern interpretation of the style of ancient furniture used in the middle ages are tastefully combined with conveniences of today.

Castello Izzalini is located in Todi, an area rich in art, history and culture close to Umbria. There are many year round festivals organised in Umbria which is traditionally recognized as the green heart of Italy.

The complex features 15 apartments plus a concierge accommodation of varying dimensions and configurations. All apartments have similar architectural features and décor.

Each apartment has internet-controlled central heating system, dishwasher, and ADSL internet connections, Satellite TV, terrestrial TV and telephone connections.

HISTORY: The Castello Izzalini was fortified by Ezzalino III da Romano from whom the castle was named took possession of the castle and transformed it into a fortified castle complete with turrets and canon port holes. Ezzelino III da Romano (April 25, 1194 – October 7, 1259) was a feudal lord in the March of Treviso (the modern Veneto) who was a close ally of the emperor Frederick II and ruled Verona, Vicenza and Padua for almost two decades.
